I am a weaver. I learned to weave as an apprentice in New Mexico in 1967-69. My teacher was Rachel Brown. I moved to San Francisco in 1970, and have lived here ever since, on Bernal hill for 29 years.
In 1979, I earned my MA in textiles at San Francisco State. By then, I was weaving Aubusson Tapestry. Several of us in the graduate program founded San Francisco Tapestry Workshop in the late 1970's. After that, I wove tapestries for Mark Adams for many years. Now I am going back to my roots, to where I began: weaving tapestries with color and texture and images from the heart, with handspun yarns and natural dyes, with a love of the craft of weaving.
I hope you enjoy my work.
